January 2020 saw some of our academy make their television debut on the BBC show The Greatest Dancer.

Young Dream Chasers performed a stunning audition and opened the mirrors to the audience. Did they do enough?

October 2018 The Hip Hop academy headed to Kielce Poland for the IDO World Championships.

It was team GB's most successful year and our academy's results were...

23 top ten finishes including

5 x Gold Medals

4 x Silver Medals

1 x bronze medal

October 2018 Signature attended Dancezone in Haywards Heath.

The girls performed brilliantly gaining

4 First places

5 Second places

2 Third places

2 Fouth places

30th September 10 of our academy dancers were chosen to take part

in the Flawless Chase the dream reboot tour at the Kings Theatre in Portsmouth.

The night was an amazing experience for those involved.

June 2018 the Academy headed to Bremerhaven Germany for the IDO European Hip hop championships.

17 top 10 finishes 🎉🎉 2 x Gold , 2 x Silver, 3 x bronze medals,

2 x 4t & 3 x 5th.

Celebrate 2018 was an amazing night.

Over 300 local dancers took to the stage at the New Theatre Royal to put on one of the best dance variety shows of the year.

The annual show continues to grow in every aspect whilst giving south coast dancers a performance platform completely free of charge.

Young Dream Chasers scooped the Junior division title at World of Dance London in November.

It was a new experience for the group who came out on top in a field of 16 junior teams.

In October 2017 the academy headed to Copenhagen for the IDO World hip hop championships.

It was a hugely successful event with Young Dream Chasers, Young Lions and Dylan Pilgrim all taking home Gold medals for UK.

We also had two bronze medal winners in Good Vibes and Maizy Theze.

Congratulations to all of our new Dance Leaders.

With funding from the partnership foundation we were able to run a course for dance leaders via the sports leaders award.

16 dancers aged 13-24 took part and as a result 248 people took advantage of FREE classes and 71 participated in the Dance leaders organised events.

The Academy have recently returned from the IDO European championships in Walbrzych Poland.

Whilst representing the UK our 16 academy dancers picked up 16 Top ten finishes including 2 Gold ( young lions & Maizy Theze) 1 Silver (Tega Alex)

2 Bronze ( Hollie Knight & Dylan Pilgrim/Matt Johnston)

Our Academy were both honoured and extremely excited to be asked to

represent IDO UK and open the main stage at Move it 2017 10/03/17.

The piece was a collaboration of Dream Chasers Collective, The Syndicate and

Young Dream Chasers choreographed by our creative Director Tega Alex.

Our academy have just returned from Graz Austria where they were competing as Team Great Britain at the IDO World Hip Hop Championships.

14th September 2016 our CEO attended the Entrepreneurs Unite event 'Access to funding and growth' at Portsmouth Guildhall.

The Movement Initiative were presented with an award for 'Best social enterprise' sponsored by Entrepreneurs Unite.

We are very pleased that the teams hard work has received recognition from such a high profile panel.

19/7/16 some of the guys visited Rachel Madocks school to help celebrate "joy of dance day" with the pupils.

19/7/16 the academy performed at Wimborne school for their open evening.

7/8/16 we spent the day entertaining the crowds on southsea common for the annual VW beach buggin festival.

13/8/16 we hosted a workshop with 3 amazing teachers.

The day saw 42 dancers from all over the south coast attend.

TMI Academy takes the UK Championships by storm...

29th January saw 48 of our academy head to the legendary Winter Gardens in Blackpool to take part in the IDO UK Hip Hop Championships promoted promoted by Dancesport Promotions and sponsored by IPRO SPORT .



The Academy came away with NINE UK Championships and as a result more than 40 of our dancers have qualified to be part of Team GB for 2016 with the opportunity to compete in Czech Republic and Austria.

October saw 40 of the academy dancers head of to the IDO World Hip Hop Championships in Rimini Italy with the English national team.

It was a successful week for both England and TMI, our results.....
